Hey everyone!

Took the CMSP the second weekend of December with zero previous seat time, and snatched up an 06 DRZ400SM just before Christmas. Added about 800 miles since then, and just two days ago found myself comfortable on the freeway (see: no clenched jaw).

During a chat with a fellow DS/SM guy at the gas station at 9th and Howard this forum was mentioned. Looking forward to taking some of Doc Wong's clinics and meeting some other riders to continually expand my skills and knowledge. I'm poor, so no extravagant dinner meets for me! :teeth

I used to enjoy driving cars, but motorcycling just RUINED cars for me.

Welcome.
Motards are big fun. Traffick is not.

Enjoy the twisties in as much quantity as you can; tis good for the mind and soul. It will do a lot for bike handling skills too.

I too have a tard if you are ever down the San Ho way. Enjoy!

You gotta get the right car. I took my old Porsche 914 up Hamilton yesterday. Big fun. Freakin go kart. Big motor too.

The moto is a different thrill. Dancing with the mountian.

Doc Wong classes are the best deal in moto education you will find.
Can't beat the price and you get to meet good people.

Thanks for the warm welcome. Last night I visited Moto Guild for the first time. Nice place! A few minutes before my planned departure two bikes roll up the ramp, and one of them is a co-worker. Small community, I guess!

Nice!

USMC 2001-2005. Firewatch loosely translates to guard duty while the majority of the unit is asleep. Ever watch the movie Jarhead? When all of those fireworks went off in Kuwait the dude was on firewatch.....and totally failed at taking charge of his post.
