SF->Los Osos: route recommendations given HWY 1 closures

I'm planning on riding down the coast tomorrow, staying in Los Osos for a night on my way to L.A.

I thought I had read that there's a way through the Pfeiffer bridge closure and was going to take 1 to Nacimiento-Ferguson to get around the Ragged Point closure.

It looks like I was wrong.

Anyone have route recommendations for getting down there? I randomly chose some roads with this route.

Have you ridden any of those roads? I can't speak definitively because it's been a while, but the last time I rode S. Coast Ridge Road south from Nacimiento-Ferguson, I encountered a locked gate. And it was dirt up until then, so I assume you're planning to ride dirt roads.

If dirt is not your deal, why not ride Hwy 25, Peachtree, Indian Valley, and so on. Fill your tank in Hollister. Your next gas is in San Miguel. Pack some water. It can get hot.

Nope, never been. I wouldn't mind the dirt but your route looks a lot more practical (especially given my... difficulties getting out the door early in the morning).
