Hey BARFers,
I realize I have not used one potential resource in my quest to get my career back on track. That resource being the BARF community of course.
To keep a long story somewhat short-ish, I'm trying to get my foot back in the door of the Transportation Planning field. I had experience working in various fields before doing Noise and Vibration, Civil Engineering, Environmental Planning, and Document Control. I gave it all up to go back to school at UOP in Stockton as I had little faith in the State school systems at the time, with no guarantee of getting the classes you need when you need them.
After graduation, it's been quite hard to get back into it. I'm not particularly partial to private sector or public sector but I am partial to the Bay Area or surrounding Northern California areas. (No surprise as I have spent a lot of my internet time on here over the past 4-5 years.) In my time off from work, I've seen my Bay Area/NorCal friends more often than those in SoCal. That's how often I visit. If it wasn't such a pain to ride all the way up the 5, I'd probably have come to some BARF ride/event already and regret not doing so while I was still in school at Stockton.
I'm doing everything from networking to just putting my resume out there to anything I feel qualified for.
You never know who's reading or who might know who and maybe somebody will see this and be able to point me in the right direction.
If you or anybody you know might have any leads, shoot me a PM and I can email you my resume.
Thanks, :teeth:ride
