seduced by new bike

So my 98 cbr600f3 was recently stolen from me. It was the best. I knew every quirk, every little flaw. I felt comfortable and safe on it. Losing it hurt alot, but what better way to mend a broken heart than to upgrade to something hotter, younger, and sexier.

So I just bought a 2004 gixxer 600. Wow, this bike is fast, it's powerful. It's also twitchy and demanding. Honestly, it scares me a bit. I know with one wrong move, I could end up on my ass, or worse. But isn't this all part of the fun?

Just thought I would share that with y'all.

Cheers

Sweet bike - congrats! Just take your time to feel at home. It takes a while to get used to any new bike - don't rush yourself, just enjoy learning and speed up as your comfort level allows. That way you won't give it chance to bite you :).

Awesome; I had an F3 then an F4i now an 04 Gixxer like you, great choice:thumbup

I know exactly what you mean with the differences between the bikes, watch that throttle, I know I learned my lesson :teeth

Congrats! :thumbup

It isn't as gentle and as forgiving as the my ol' F3.. ;)

As they said - just take your time. :cool

With time it will feel just like the old bike!

I remember when I first got a 600 I4 it was SO twitchy in 1st gear. After a while I could've wished for lower gearing :p.
