Dude! awesome write up for an epic trip! I was also a corner worker, and had a great time as well but not nearly the adventure you ahve. Since you got your stuff together, do you happen to know of the link that posted the corner worker pictures? they had a photographer for us corner workers but I don't know how to get there...

I am from Eureka. Lost Coast Brewery is one of the best, if not THE best brewery in Northern Cali. All my favorite beer comes outta there...

Redwood trees!! love em to death, one of the most amazing things on this planet!

Crater Lake is also very beautiful. I used to snowboard every year up at Mt Shasta....never seen it in the summer like that tho. Cool pics!

And the 2007 MotoGP was my first GP event, and i must say i will be going back every year from now on!!

Oh boy. I knew I'd find this thread somewhere on BARF, I just didn't expect it to be in the "Best Of" section. It certainly was the best road trip I've ever been on. Ahh, younger carefree days. How nobody got arrested in Shasta is beyond me!

I don't feature highly in the photos but I'm the one with the red 675 with the helmet bag precariously netted to the back.

Here are some pics of mine. In no particular order though mostly from beginning to end. Unfortunately a lot of the pics I put on imageshack have been deleted due to the passage of time. I have more in a folder on my HD.

These are from 2007, I went back in 2008 but due to various circumstances nobody wanted to go again. I drove my car and slabbed it. The upside was that I met some people we had hung out with in the campground again and I had a good time. 07 was epic though.

I lived in Monterey for a few years, starting there when I was 14 years old. I landed there on the 21st of July 2007, smack dab in the middle of the GP race weekend. My first reaction upon getting there to Monterey was, "Damn why so many bikes around here." In those days, I didn't care or know much about bikes, but two years later, I went to my first GP--fast forward a few years later when I could afford one, and bam!

I miss being able to go to Laguna Seca pretty much whenever I felt like it. Seeing all those photos made me feel nostalgic. Thanks so much for posting them.
