For all of you old school racing fans:

Kevin Schwantz Makes a Return To AMA Road Racing!

The last time Kevin Schwantz rode in an AMA road race was in 1988, when he won the Daytona 200 for Suzuki.

That long absence from AMA road racing will end this weekend in Elkhart Lake, Wisconsin, when the 1993 500cc Grand Prix World Champion will race Chris “Opie” Caylor’s Team EMGO Taiwan Suzuki GSX-R600 Formula Xtreme racebike.

Is he going to completely emerge from retirement, or just do this one race?

Cool either way. :cool

This is a funnay ass quote from the article.

" The last time he raced at Road America or raced a 600cc machine was 1987 – on a Yamaha FJ600, when Yoshimura Suzuki’s Ben Spies was three years old. "

I just cant wait to see him race again. Like all the "good" old races, he says w/in the top 3 in a race, then pulls the cork before the last few laps....just like Rossi.
