Scarface is being remade again right now and I bet it will be crazier than ever, given how much crazier the drug wars are now than they were in the 70s

Seriously? They should leave the legacy of Al Pacino as Tony Montana where it is, no point in trying to remake a masterpiece.

I liked the first CC, the second one focusing on the godmother just didn't seem all to realistic.

you may not be aware, but the Al Pacino version was a remake of a 1930s movie called SCARFACE, starring the great Paul Muni plus Boris Karloff-- it was the same script, same story. in the history of remakes it probably shares The Best with the 80s remake of the The Thing by John Carpenter. Do yourself a favor and check the original B&W Scarface if you can find it

I knew about the movie they made in the 1930's, though I confess I've never seen it. Just for the sake of it, I think I'll go watch it. I still don't think anyone can top Pacino's performance though. His "swag"...

I think you will be surprised. Paul Muni is so great in Scarface, I went out and watched a bunch of other movies he was in back in the day. I AM A FUGITIVE FROM A CHAIN GANG is almost as good but I'll say Scarface was his best role
