Very smokey. A lot of dirty spots on the front side from fire clean up and road repairs. Really surreal, as all the familiar shrubbery is completely gone in many sections of road. One set of S turns that was in a section of red trunked oak trees that kind of canopied the road is completely burned away and for the first time ever you can see all the way through the S turns. Mines was normal as far as the road goes, but lots of burned out sections, and some burnt structures you can see.

Likely I'll run it backwards tomorrow if anyone is interested.

Ken, I'm considering riding up from the Livermore side, but not sure if my rear Bridgestone RS11 commuter tire can handle even a brisk ride to the Junction. It would for sure be toasted if I rode down Del Puerto and back down to Livermore. So I'm a maybe at this point. It might actually be roasted after my bonsai hwy 17 daily commute. 1200 miles and she's pretty much done...glad I only paid $75.00 for the set from a friend. These tires are damn good...just don't last...at least for me. :laughing :afm199

Mike, really won't know til the morning what I'm doing, and I'm riding the GT, so only about 70 percent of the pace of the 990..

I pretty much finished of the rear on the hwy 17 commute home. I'm going to blitz up Old San Jose Rd to Summit Rd and then down hwy 17 to Santa Cruz...12-15 miles. The tire will be coming off after this short ride. Mines would just demolish it in it's current condition. Have a great ride Ken. Maybe in a few weeks when I get back from my maiden SV650 trackday at Sonoma on 10/12/20. I haven't ridden a SV650 before, but after just putting around the block on it I think it's going to be fun. I might ride it up Mines sometime just for kicks. :ride

Butch, really your first time on the hill since the fire?

Yeah, though I had gone up to Grandview a couple of times. Been busy trying to puts things back in order since the fire. Crazy shit.

The visibility with the tree removal is spectacular. Spring should be spectacular if we have some rain this winter.

Junction next weekend I hope.

Wow, pretty cool looking SV...

Thanks Ken...it's got a shit load of mods. About $3500.00-$4000.00 in goodies. I wonder how it would handle on Mines...haha. I hope you had a good ride. We'll have to get a small group of Junction guys together for a spirited ride in a few weeks or so. :thumbup
