Not sure, but I found a couple of 'help wanted' ads for a restaurant manager and bartender posted almost 3 weeks ago. I'm gonna go out on a limb and say they'll be open by the time we get there.

Hope so.. location not listed on their website.

New casino.

There's a new casino/sports bar down by Safeway. Apparently "Dotty's" is a franchise casino joint and this one was just built fresh from the ground up.

I was hoping they will have a large restaurant too. (NOT! )
( that’s not Dotty’s forte ) most locations don’t have much of a restaurant.
The chain concentrates on gambling and serves alcohol.
Any new place to chill will still be welcome in this small town.:thumbup

Respect the local speed limits around town. We have had a pretty good relationship with the local LEO's and want to keep that intact.

What are you saying? Only around town? Hmmmm...

The multi-car police escort the last 10miles from town was sort of fun that one year.

I am enhancing around town out of respect for the town and the local PD.

Out on the HWY everyone knows that we always go the speed limit and if they don't they know a performance award is always possible. :teeth

The courteous law abiding citizens that we are . Mobile Road hazards need to be always our utmost consideration for road safety such as "The Roadrunners" in a desert environment.

I caught this when I made the jump from Parumph to Carson City.
Back in May I rolled up Nv 95 with the intent of crossing to 395 @ 120 west, Benson springs. 395 was boiling with storm clouds to the west as I was on 95, more north, more storms. I stuck with 95 less wind to fight.
Rolling into Hawthorne, NHP was stopping traffic south of the town's explosive bypass. Forcing all traffic into the ditch.
What came off the bypass was Rare Bear on a 60' flatbed. Current asskicker in the unlimited recip class air racer. Total race bob of a Grumman Bearcat.
Last time I saw it fly '15, it won so easily.
Big clouds, rain spitting, and gusting wind shrouding the mountain, I laid up for safety @ Whisky Flats RV
Very disappointed with the selection of eateries in town, settled for El Cap, pizza, and a deli was all I could find.

Have fun, but don't go all "Wild One" and tree the town, there are big guns available.
