Yep, there it is. The RydTher announcement in all it's glory. But wait you say? You thought it was Hawthorne? Silly BARFers, it's the RydTher Rally!
For the last 9 years we have been going to Hawthorne, this year we are mixing it up and heading up the road to a new destination. So, in the proud tradition of BARF rallies spanning California and Nevada to bring you both familiar and novel riding experiences,
we are proud to announce for the 2017 BARF RydTher Rally -
Carson City!!!
Dates & Lodging
Dates: September 15, 16 and 217 (Fri., Sat., and Sun.)
Destination: Carson City, NV
Estimated 3-Day Mileage: 800+ miles
Bay Area Starting Point and Time: To be announced
All makes welcome.
Please note that this is not an organized or guided group-riding event. There are no officially designated leads or sweeps. This is a rally with pre-determined routes, common points-of-interest and destination for the participants. The official daily starting point and time are provided to allow the participants the greatest opportunity to enjoy the company of other BARFers along the way for the duration of the rally. Participants are free to band into groups of their own choosing, and at their own risk.
1, 2, 3... Easy sign Up by September 14, 2017:
Step 1. Make your room reservations for 9/15 and 9/16/2017 (departing on 9/17/2017). You must call the reservation line and declare yourself a BARFer to receive the BARF discount -- no discount can be offered for Internet reservations.
Step 2. Once you have made your lodging reservations, register online at eventzilla, and take care of the waiver, and you'll find the password to the rally forum.

If you can only manage a hall pass for two days, no problem – book a room for Saturday, and ride out to Carson City for the event’s dinner celebration that evening. On Sunday, enjoy some company for riding some of the best twisties in California and Nevada. Come and meet your fellow BARFers and fellow riders. Come for the fun and company.
Your responsibilities
Sign-in and Check-in
Be aware that we do have a sign-in/check-in policy. Please refer to the Participant’s Package when it becomes available.
Early Departure
If, for any reason, you decide to depart early from the rally, you must notify a rally coordinator, or ask another participant to relay your intent to a rally coordinator.
What’s a Rally?
This is not an organized or guided group-riding event. There are no designated leads or sweeps. This is a rally with pre-determined routes, common points-of-interest and destination for the participants. The daily starting point and time are provided to allow the participants the greatest opportunity to enjoy the company of other BARFers and BARFettes along the way for the duration of the rally. Participants are free to band into groups of their choosing, and at their own risk.
You are responsible for yourself
Riding a motorcycle is dangerous. You are responsible for your own safety. Proper riding gear, a valid CDL/M1, vehicle registration and proof of insurance are highly recommended. You are also responsible for the good operating condition of your motorcycle. The good condition includes general mechanical condition, as well as the condition of wear items such as chains and sprockets, brake pads, and tires. In short, YOU are the Captain of your own ship.
Expenses
You are responsible for your own expenses. Budget for lodging, entrance fee(s), gas, food, beverages, and anything you may need along the way accordingly.
