I have watched Ryan Villapoto for a long time. I remember seeing him crashing a lot, not very impressive as a rider would be per-say as he is now. Not aggressive and getting hurt a lot as well i his career. Like the hype on Davi Milsaps, or Alessi his counter parts RV really did not get the respect or notoriety as these other no shows had.
Riding Green his entire racing career, coming from a racing family it was expected of RV to do well, but how well is not in the record books yet. RV is on top of his game, staying healthy, staying fit, staying focused will determine how he ends up in the Career stats at the end of his run.
I do not think he will surpass the King, I do not think anyone will, as Supercross was so young back then and the machines, the tracks and the entire program was so different. Needless to say, I do believe RV will be the only rider to ever come close to achieving The Kings Records, I hope so, as RV is one hell of a racer.
