I've been avoiding the Hitler comparison because it's just hyperbole but not talking bad about the dead extends to literally everyone, then he would be there too. AFAIK Rush did not commit any crimes. Hitler did.

Is calling him a shitbag because of his actions or opinions?

A lot of people agreed with his opinions.
Hopefully, no one would agree with any of his bad actions.
I was not a follower of his. Did he do bad acts???
