No such a thing as a bad road; only not enough roads.
An assemblage of potholes begs to differ. :jaded
That's what the KTM is for :thumbup

Is that Rock Creek Road off of Highway 193 out of Placerville? So you have made the Hunt Road / Rock Creek Road Loop. :teeth
Goat roads at their best. :cool
Is that Rock Creek Road off of Highway 193 out of Placerville?
I've been on that road from where it starts from Highway 193 all the way to Wentworth Springs, including many miles of dirt, and I don't remember any of it having patchwork like that picture.
As a note taker as well, I'd like to see how you'd fare with doing reverse routes. One route might be a "6" (East to West) while West to East can be a 9.
Just for discoganya's contribution, this has been stickied by me. I need to do some heavy work on Google Maps!! arty
I'm one of those nerdy people that like spreadsheets, so I made one to rate all the amazing roads that I've ridden, to see which roads are the best overall. You should be able to sort them. Let me know which of your favorite roads I'm missing :ride
This is a cool thread. I read it as an Excel nerd keeping a personal diary. It's subjective covering roads he's been on. Also, he mentions roads in the Bay, so the exhaustive list that includes roads all over California is outside the stated scope.
Keep riding. Keep updating YOUR diary, rudolfs001. Seems like you're having fun, and that's the point. :thumbup
good roads=bad people
You're asking a lot for me to remember a road from more than a year ago. Get a AAA map of the area: Central California. Most of the good paved roads will show up on that map.ScottRNelson, could you send me a Google Maps link to the Sky Ranch Rd you mean? I'm not turning up anything meaningful.
