The Diablo Century Is Looking For Route Safety Riders On Sunday April 25, 2010. Here are the particulars:

We would love to have at a minimum 2-3 motorcyclists that could travel back and forth between our Clayton rest stop and the top of Morgan Territory Road. They would be responsible for making sure that those cyclists who are in need of assistance could contact the SAG vehicle (since the road is too narrow for vans to be traveling back and forth). In an ideal situation we would have a motorcycle with a side car so we could have a radio guy on board (I am told that cell phone reception is non-existent in that area). We would need them beginning no later than 7am and continuing until the last rider goes through the route, which could be 12 noon (Jamie could chime in on a more accurate time).
If you have more than 2-3 willing to help out, we could use them to travel the backside of Morgan Territory to Livermore in case of people wiping out on the down slope.
