Yikes! Drunk roadie plows tool booth at BB this morning: :rose

From CBSlocal.com:
"A suspect has been arrested on suspicion of DUI and vehicular manslaughter in the death of a toll worker Saturday morning when a truck hit her toll booth on the Oakland side of the Bay Bridge."

Raw footage of crash:

That’s crazy. Whenever I drive through the bridge tolls I wonder how often people run into the barricades...lot of tire marks on them.

Looks like at least a 50mph yard sale.

And thought those toll booths were reinforced against crashes. Must have been some serious debris smashing sideways into the booth.

:rip toll taker.

My guess. Show ended at 2AM.

Packing until 3:30AM maybe 4. Then on the road.

Just a guess. Many water cooler conversations about this today. Yard sale. Bake sale. Funeral. :( :rip

I was wondering why there was a ton of traffic on 880 to 92 today and what the Major Accident W-80 signs were about. Now I know.

Pretty freaking horrific.

Terrible

Regarding some questions above
Much earlier today I read on the chronicle that the driver was In a hospital in serious condition

Regarding the toll booth ..unfortunately you can see its top, upside down, 20-30 yards ahead on the road

I still can't see how it's being related to a roadie / band. What am I missing?

I watched the helicopter video and read the cbslocal article and neither attribute the driver to a band / concert...

If you saw the debris ejected out of the truck, it would make more sense.

Road cases bear the logo of 4 Wall entertainment, an AV equipment rental company. I work with companies like this all the time, they're a professional service. Haven't interacted with many drivers.

Maybe drunk? Maybe suicide? Hard to tell. Shame all the same.
