I occasionally get sent links via email by other riders who've read my books or my trip reports. This fella said he was inspired by my writing and photography :blush to actually get out there and just go and ride off into the sunset. On a Honda CB900 no less! The older set will appreciate the bike (ah memories!!), and his pics are great! Check it out!

Pics from the Canadian Trip. This one brings back memories since I went to a lot of same places as Martin pictured here on my own ride to Alaska & the Yukon Territory few years back.

Martin's pic near Creston, BC. This one brings back memories too since I became terribly ill when I was here, and holed up in hotel until the flu passed and then resumed my ride.

Pic of Ossoyos. Bit of an odd place, because it's a desert climate, in the middle of (southern) British Columbia !!

Martin's self portrait. This one is classic, because I too couldn't stop smiling for the length of my 10,000 mile long trip.

Pretty steep mountains. A lot of the roads all run through the valleys, and steep peaks surround on several sides for many parts of British Columbia.

Yeah, that is an amazing example of one of the old CB's. My brother had one of those when I was a kid. I think I was struck with Martin's pics also because of my old GS850 and the experience with that learning to ride. Guess it proves you don't have to have a big fancy touring machine to do long trips. I only paid $600 for it, put 15,000 miles on it, and sold it for $600. Proves all ya gotta do to sport tour is just get on and ride. Notice in the Rocky Mountain trip they're just in jeans and shirts in the 100 degree heat!

My ole GS ridin' around in Utah:

wow, great pics. looks like a "I wanna do that someday" type ride. I was curious about the dates on the pics. Were those the actual dates? The weather seems awfully nice for that time of year.:confused

There's comments in the text somewhere that says his date stamp was all messed up on the camera. He dropped the camera a few times.;)
