RIP KFOG

Knbr is so stale. Greg Papa is great and a legen but the way he left was a bitch move. He straight didn’t tell anyone, not even the Bontay Hill who he was co-hosting with for the past year.

John Lund on knbr sucks, morning guys are boring. I only like Tom Tolbert really.

It's not my fault...
I like listening to Greg Papa but then I get tired of hearing him because he talks so damn much. His co-host barely gets a word in

Bay Area radio is lame. 92.3 KSJO was a great South Bay rock station, but changed its format to Spanish language 10 years ago. I think its Bollywood now. KFOG lost me when it aired more ads than music. Not surprised to see it go. Too bad KPIG 107.5 signal doesn't broadcast north of the summit on HW 17. That's probably the last decent station in NorCal

Edit: I think I will go to Streetlight Records tomorrow and buy an album.

Its Dethklok!
Terrestrial radio is such a cut throat business. No regard for time or loyalty. I still remember when they fired Alex Bennet on the air at Live 105. I think I'll re-up my satellite subscription.

KFOG, not quite as hard corps as KSAN.

I really miss KSAN, so much R & R history packed up when it went country.

Sadly, it went away a few years ago......right about the time Dave Morey saw the writing on the wall.
Radio is slowly following print media down the drain.

I like how they played SMoke 2 Joints on fridays at 5

It has been dying a slow death. Our ears have way more options these days, I haven't listened to them in a few years. Heard Peter Finch is doing traffic on KQED the other day...

I don't get morning shows. I liked the Woody Show on 105.3 but then they were all fired. I never realized they were at KFOG this whole time. Then 105.3 rebrands into "Alt 105" and they get rid of Elvis so now it's just DK you never find out why people quit or get fired.

:rip KFOG's been dead awhile and just didn't know it. KPIG, 107.5 via the airwaves and WMOT via the net for reasonably good replacements, if a little more rootsy.

98.5 in my truck, which I don't drive too often.

Used to be Live 105, but now they suck since the "rebrand." 107.7 isn't bad when they're playing music, but I can't stand their DJ's so I only switch over when 98.5 is playing commercials.

Grew up listening to KFOG, parents would get each other Live from the Archives cd's every year at christmas. It's definitely declined over the last 10 years. So much so that my dad doesn't even have it saved on his presets anymore... he's now switched to the Bone.
