No need to dance on his grave with the Chappell pic.

I decline. I know he was a champion for bleeding-heart liberals but I have friends in SFPD and SFSD who absolutely reviled him. He's a public figure, a public employee, a cop-hating race-baiter, and he died snorting cocaine. There's some karmic justice in that I suppose.

Gary Delegnas is a POS scumbag. This coming from me who has no dog in his, and your, fight with a dead guy.

The right to have legal representation is enshrined in our constitution for all accused. Especially those accused of heinous crimes. It is the job of the Public Defender to fight for those they represent. This is how our legal system is set up. Without this, we are nothing but a bunch of savages running around as Lynch mobs. Gary Delegnas needs to fucking go back to academy to learn the basics.

It is a necessity to give 'the worst' of society the best defense possible. Only then can you feel any sort of peace of mind when doling out punishment to the guilty. Public defenders are an essential pillar of our justice system. Without that provision, we truly would be a lynch mob where only the wealthy remained above 'the law'.

Everyone has their role in the CJ system.

It strikes me as hypocritical to applaud Adachi’s parlor tricks as “giving the best defense possible”, but if a prosecutor or cop did the same he would be burned at the stake.

Prosecutors and cops have done even worse in court. Except that we don't have blowhards tweeting about them.

Look up Innocence Project and see how many innocents were knowingly sent to the gallows by crooked prosecutors looking to get another win. And 99.999% of the time, they go scott free.

I actually don't know that much about Jeff adachi. However, the last sentence above makes me discount the whole rant. Why is all of San Francisco's fault for anything Jeff adachi's done? "Only in San Francisco." Who cares--am I defending him? No. Whatever!!!!

If however there is a proof of the picture he "put his arm" around the guy in that particular court case, I wouldn't mind seeing it. Has to be seen to be believed..:wtf

I'm sure sfpd had nothing to do with all that salacious detail being leaked immediately to the press.
