This is weird and awful. Merc article says this happened ~ late Fri night 1/25/14. How close / far apart are the two spots where the rider ( the far left lane along I-980 near the 27th Street on-ramp ) & the bike ( near the interchange of I-580 and I-980 ) were found?

So sad, and horrible. As we quibble amongst ourselves, a life is lost, a knock on the door, phone calls, forever changes the lives he touched. Behind another door, something terrible is going on, hit and run, please dear God let it haunt whoever it was behind that murderous wheel.

^^It is very reminiscent of Aaron, sorry i spelled your name wrong brother. The first i read of this most recent in this morning's Chronicle, well that was the first thing i thought of.
Regardless, rest in peace unknown rider, peace to your friends and family.

The California Highway Patrol is investigating a fatal collision in which a victim - possibly a motorcyclist who fell from the Interstate 580 overpass onto westbound Interstate 980 in Oakland - was struck by multiple cars.
