Rider Down on Skyline at Alpine/Page Mill Rd

Rolled up to the scene from Alice's, must have happened a few minutes prior. I'll try to stay neutral and present the facts, but it looks like he was possibly trying to overtake a slower vehicle and someone was pulling out from Alpine or Page Mill.

I have pictures of the rider on the ground, looks like a badly broken leg, but I will refrain from sharing that. Ride safe guys.

Unless the rider said it was okay to post his wrecked bike with his license plate number and saying you have other pictures of him injured you should take this down. Bad taste IMHO. I know I would not be happy about it if it was me and can't think of any riders that would be.

It's subjective. What if there were witnesses who had more to add to the story? It's a public roadside. The OP didn't post any pictures of the rider, which I think is fair.

If it were me, I'd pony up and say thanks to those who stopped and pulled over to help. I appreciate posts like this, it's a reminder regardless of who's at fault things like this happen (and possibly to be even more cautious or to lookout for hazards around common accident locations).

Conditions up there are were very mixed... nice sunshine to inspire.. wet roads from lightly wet to pretty damn wet. Riding up there in a sporting nature this time a year can bite. I know that was not the case here.

Hope the riding is resting well and heals quickly and fully.

Hope the rider heals well and fast.

I got caught up in the aftermath traffic.
Coming from four corners direction this is what I saw while waiting (with motor off)...

I am with ColdOnes. No need to post a license plate. I don't want my license posted. It does not appear to be a stolen nor abandoned motorcycle.

We know nothing about the circumstances nor legal ramifications in this incident. Posting the license may help in a theft. There are a lot more reasons to not post a license plate than reasons to post a license plate.

The license plate pic issue is irrelevant because it appears in the CHP dispatch log.
No, it is not, from my viewpoint. People don't go looking for CHP accident reports and hunting down license plate numbers. What if the accident was not reported to the CHP? What then? No point in posting the license unless you think the bike is stolen. Please think of the owner's privacy. It's not all about statistics. There are real people involved in these accidents.

^^^^:thumbup Ask an owner if he wants his crashed bike with L# posted on the internet and see what they would say. I know what I would say.

What The HELL are you talking about? You should keep it classy. You are making an innuendo with no supporting information. For Christ's sake!

I say this country is getting so gotdamn sissyfied/politically correct. It's coming to the point you can't do (anything) anymore without someone's feelings getting hurt. The guy took a picture"in Public"!!! Hell. I even wanted to see the broken leg.
