Rider Down on Pescadero

I was coming from 1 and came across an incident on Pescadero right by Horse camp. I couldn't really make out the bikes because of all the emergency vehicles, but it looked like at least 2 standard/cruiser type bikes. One rider was sanding by while they worked on the fallen rider. It looked pretty serious. I didn't stop because I didn't want to be in the way. There were quite a few emergency workers working on him and I think he was on a back board. I am hoping for the best and that he will be OK.

Hose camp?

Is that at the top of the hill with the horse crossing? That's an area to slow down as there are not only horses (rarely) but also horse trailers pulling in, pulling out and turning around.

It is at the top of the hill. I think there may be a horse crossing there. There is a left hander there and it's a classic top of the hill sort-of weird feeling left hander. The conditions out there were such where you wanted to use some caution. I know of it now so I account for it now, but if you are seeing it for the first time it's not what you might expect.

We saw some emergency vehicles headed to the scene, best wishes to the rider.

There's often a lot of gravel in that particular corner.

Thoughts for the downed rider.

Beautiful day for riding down here on Hwy 1 on the Central Coast. The weekend warriors were out in force while my wife and I were 2up headed up towards Ragged Point and Elephant Seal territory.

The Harley/Cruiser types were out in force making noise today and I noticed they were spending more time in the corners on the WRONG SIDE of the yellow line then could be believed. :thumbdown
