Ride suggestions? 13 days to ride, don't mind camping

Leaving the bay area on Sat, July 30th to embark on a 13 day ride but I'm not entirely sure where yet.

Does anyone have a suggested route they have taken?

I've already done Baja, and I'd like to do the canadian pacific coast... I'm just not sure I have enough time to get as far as I'd like.

I might explore the southwestern states, although it would be hot as hell so I'm considering the northwestern states.

If I don't come up with a hard plan then I'll just grab a map and a one man tent and hit the road for awhile.

Thanks for any input you guys have to offer.

North or Northeast sounds right this time of year. How about Yellowstone and beyond?

Idaho Lolo Pass, Glacier National Park, Yellowstone, Grand Tits, drop down to Colorado's Rocky Mountain National Park, Million Dollar Highway, Utah 95, 24 to Capitol Reef National Park, Utah 12 to Bryce Canyon. That's a good start. Have fun:)

Recedite, plebes!
I think I'd pick a Northern route this time of year also, versus that of Southern Nevada, Arizona, etc. Can still get hot but not as likely to get blazing hot. I've done a bunch of 2 weekers, first requirement has been "No Freeways", only 2 lane roads. Second was a "coin to toss" for help in making a decision on which road to take. Heads was left, tails was right. Point your bike North or Northeast and go for it.
Oh, if ya happen to make it to Cody, Wy. stop and go through the Buffalo Bill museum. The gun collection is awesome and maybe a tall cool beverage at the Irma Hotel.

Other possible places to visit:
Northeast corner of Cali via Lassen Park is good stuff (if ya like the high dessert kinda stuff), Carter Lake, Burns Junction traffic circle out in the middle of "bum f _ _k nowhere" in Southern Oregon were the UFO's piled up a bunch of big boulders. I think they use it for celestial navigation. :rofl ) or up and around the Idaho panhandle and into the Sawtooth mountains. Regardless of where ya go have fun and a ride report is mandatory!

Oh, just one last thing: If yer planning to take the "schwinn stingray" ya might consider taking 3 weeks and some extra tubes!

If you've got your passport and all that in line. BC is beautiful and this is the time of year to do it. Great roads up there.

I'm heading north, does anyone have any routes to recommend around british columbia that I shouldn't miss out on? I've got the milepost travel guide which seems to have it all.

If you go to BC, just enjoy the scenery, which is pretty much everywhere you go. I would love to do the Icefield Parkway from Lake Louise to Jasper.
