Looking for recommendations for motorcycle mechanics in the San Jose and east bay area around Pleasanton.

Motorcycle was stolen. Just recovered, need to get estimates from a shop. Will need new ignition, new gas cap, new seat hinges as the thief broke off the mechanism to lock my seat down. Probably needs a whole new gas tank. There is also cosmetic damage and probably some things I missed at first glance. Who knows, the insurance might total it, regardless I need to take it somewhere, preferably where they will write me a generous quote. If the swing arm is scratched, I want a new swing arm, because the structural integrity will be damaged.

Post your go to shop below! Just moved to San Jose so not familiar with the locations. I have family in the east bay so I can transport it up near there as well.

Thanks

So the insurance company doesn't send out a claims person like for car damage? They asked you to get a quote?

Seems like a larger dealer that sells your brand bike would give a good insurance company quote. Or are you going more for an independent, pay out of your pocket, just make it road worthy again, quote?

Like some of these will see a scratch on the frame, needs a new frame, scratch on the swingarm, needs a new swingarm ... etc ... so you end up with a totaled bike. And the big question is it just a little mark (on frame & swingarm in this example) or is it really messed up and needs to be replaced?

Thanks all. My insurance does not send a claims person for motorcycles. They said I have to take it to a shop to get an estimate. Essentially if there is a scratch on the swingarm, I'm gonna need a whole new swingarm because it's structural integrity is damaged. Where should I take it?
