You forgot the fact that someone had also admitted to it, but police didn't believe him

That and the other 3 episodes of arson targeting gay churches.

I'm used to my stigamata spontaneously bleeding, but have never self-immolated. :laughing

bcv_west has been suspended for a week for a post that he wisely deleted. I'm not going to quote that post here as a result. Unfortunately for him we still review deleted posts for infractions, and since this is his first, he will receive 7 days' suspension.

Folks, we know the rules here aren't perfect and some topics and posts may seem like fair game for a harshly worded response. We're not gonna tell you that you can't do it--it's your deal. Please realize, however, that we are forced out of fairness to uphold the TOS we currently have in place, and sometimes that's going to mean a suspension, regardless of how cool the person is or how correct the post might be. We are always reviewing our rules and sometimes more critically than others, but it's unlikely that we're every going to allow any posts that are intended to skirt explicit rules in order to deliver an implicitly "sh_tty" message.

Gotta love BARF's constant labeling of "trolling" to people who post a contrary view.

I don't think anyone disagrees that this was a horrible event (one which I didn't even know about), and that homophobia contributed to why it was swept under the rug. And OP's reminders were very appropriate today.

BUT, to jdhu's point, it isn't proven that this was some sort of hate crime. This was a valid point, although possibly a premature one, since nobody claimed it WAS a hate crime, just that it was an LGBT massacre. Which technically it was.

In any case, what's with all the drama, troll-calling, je suis whatever that means?

Hit 98 last week, 89 today. 100 expected tomorrow. All the McMansion owners out here will be above their water rations as usual. :laughing

We have an old seeded lawn, its green as can be. Haven't watered it at all this year. Its roots must go down six feet. :cool

Between the people who still fully water their lawn and landscape, there is two on the street of ten. We may be getting the stink eye cause their rolled in lawns are toast already.

About all we're watering is the five newer Rose bushes. No garden this year :(
