Thanks so much for the info everyone. I wrote to Lawrence who is literally 5 minutes from my home. This is great.

In case anyone else is looking...

Whatever you do, stay away from Cycle Salvage in Hayward. They messed up my bike big time and all they did was mount a tire.

Maybe check out Performance Cycles on Gilman in Berkeley. I've only ever had tires mounted by them but they have good customer service and reasonable prices. Next door is Berkeley Honda / Yamaha; they do decent work too, but it's been years since I've brought a bike to them. [I do most of my own work.] So I don't know how they are these days, but I haven't had any bad experiences.

California Speed Sports in Dublin service and sell Triumphs, though I haven’t used them.

I prefer independent shops like MotoLucia in SF. Lucy does great work.

This. I've had some valve adjustment done at Performance on my CBR - Super nice people there who spent some time with me when I picked up my bike to review a few other things they noticed while performing the work. I left feeling much smarter.

KC Gager at BRG in Pacheco :thumbup :ride

Did a fantastic job building and tuning a track day motor for my old R1

AFAIK the only place in the East Bay with a professional grade constant load dyno.
