Yep, I am that bored. Any recommendation for Hi temp spray paint for an exhaust can? Any brands to avoid? Was thinking of just using BBQ paint.

VHT is what I used way back in the '70s. from the hot rod side.

Many colors, I even tried the pearl over white, baked it in moms oven.

It was considered BBQ paint too

I use Duplicolor Engine Enamel. They have a ceramic coating one that's good up to 1200F and there's another one for painting engine parts that's good to 500F or something. Also I have used Copper Gasket spray on turbine housings before. It's copper when you spray it on but when it burns up it looks like a gunmetal color.

I've used VHT on the last two Spree mufflers I refurb'd. They always come out great and the coating is pretty durable. If you can bake it in an oven, it works better, but you can cure the paint by just running the bike and letting the exhaust heat cure it.
