AFM #730. This is my first year racing! I am hooked!!!
Round 1, Buttonwillow: clutch went out before very first race! Sucked
Round 2: 8th in the clubman lightweight, my first race. 15th out of 16 in first Sunday race (650 Production), 31 out of 37 650 twins. In the Formula IV race, I was running 15th until I crashed in 8a in the 6th lap.
Round 3: Got the bike sorted and placed 6th in Clubman, 8th in 650 Prod, 26th in 650 Twins, and 20th in F4.

Looking forward to first race weekend in Thill!

Arin, Clubman LW and Afemme run together so the starts will be in different waves. But you could probably run 500 twins somewhat competitively just have to be careful when the 650 Prod guys start coming through as the delta is fairly substantial. I would stay away from 250 Superbike until you have a little more race saddle time. :teeth

Aw, that sucks that the Afem is running with Clubman LW. Are the 250 superbike and prod that much different? With 600's they are practicly identical. lol

Congrats on your cool number and license Arin!

I'm partial to AFemme of course...we do have one woman racing her 250 with us, Lisa Kinberger. Another couple novice 250 ladies race in Clubman Lightweight. Either way, I'll be seeing you out there since we're gridded together!

I hope to one day join the rarefied atmosphere of motorcycle racers. :)

Just crack open a can of VP race gas at your local sweaty gym locker room, throw in a couple of beers and you'll pretty much have that rarefied atmosphere. Save the bitchin about the times you should have gotten. But you will have the bragging. lol :party

Endurance

24 hr at willow, lightweight twins and 2years in a row.
Raced at PIR Willow Sears firebird etc...
Great times,,, Stayed Safe fun only few incidents, wadded up financed 900 ninja in turn 2 @ sears that sucked, Ex 500 big wad taken out entering carousel at sears..
When we had Supercycle in Concord, the shop made it difficult to make the weekends, and by 93 my son was 5 and racing mini's, focus shifted and started racing motocross harescrambles etc with my kid.
BTW Othg was a blast, but still dont like the huge doubles and tripples at some tracks! Error margin just a little to slim. : )

Sure miss the good AFM people that were so dedicated to ensure our fun and competitive weekends.
Miss the customers and great friends few examples like
Clingerman traveled all over together, Mike smith, Kc gager, tom heath, tom bieshiem. Dave stanton, steve rapp, Dan johnson, competitors like kimble swortsfigure etc etc
Received some Support and help thru the years from various like Diablo Kawasaki Bmw Helimot, United painting, Frank smith "UNI Filter DUDE" etc... All great folks supporting the sport.

Rubber side down shiny side up...

AFM #731, Connie Droogas. I started racing at the tail end of last year... I started wanting to race literally half my life ago... finally made it happen last year. It was a long time coming... and it's even better than I imagined it would be.
Racing Clubman Lightweight and Proddy 250 on a very non-competitive old-skool ninjette... but it gets me around the track, and I'm having a blast! :banana

I'm getting some help from Motowrx over in Livermore, it all adds up! Thanks, guys!! :love

I can't wait til next weekend... honestly, racing is the most fun I've had in too many years to count! :teeth
