I spent practice chasing issues, only getting a couple actual sessions in. Figured out part of it thanks to Fuzzy before my race. I was able to secure a second place in Afemme Novice Lightweight, but still had some issues with the front end coming out of corners. After the race Gerry and Anthony ( GP Frame & Wheel ) looked at my bike and gave some useful suggestions, I was ready to test it out Sunday.

I'd never done 300 Super Bike before so I was at the back of the grid. I was able to get an ok launch and slotted in behind my teammate through turn 1. As the pack entered turn 2 three bikes went down, thankfully they were all ok. As I came out of turn 3 I could tell that the changes we made to the bike the previous night had helped. I started dropping time as I regained trust in my bike. I had been stuck at the same lap time the entire previous day, during this race I was down 2 seconds.

My final race of the weekend was Lightweight Twins. I'm proud of myself and my teammates with this race. Not only did we all get down to 2:16 in this race, it was a good battle. I managed to just sneak ahead of my teammate at the finish by 0.1 seconds, I've never tucked on my bike that hard in my life. One of my favorite races in my short race career.

On top of learning some new things, I learned just how much I still have to learn. I look forward to improving my skills at the next Z2 weekend, I have some things to work on. I can't wait for Round 4.
