Question is, should you pull ouT?

Get at me dog..barf BARF!
I went over my bike yesterday, and discovered a 3inch nail chocked diagonally into the rear tire. Debated whether to pull it out, but did anyway. Tires are a little bald, may need to be replaced in the next month or so, but I continued to look and there's enough shards of glass in there to make a crack pipe; some pieces are too deep to wedge out, others I picked.

After experiencing a flat rear on 880 in Hayward last year, I'm constantly looking over my tires now.

Do you pull out the glass or let the little ones stick?

Yeah, I was thinkin that too. I check my tires every day, and pressures at least once a week, man. There is too much junk out there not to...

New tire period. I wouldn't ride until then.

real men don't. And what he said ^

Almost bald + full thickness puncture + others near full thickness = get a new tire.
New tire?

If you are at home and don't need your bike, pull out all the trash that the tire collects. If you are away from home, leave it in and see if you can make it back home or to a repair shop.

Is it in the cards to take your wheels off, and take them to ...(say Santa Clara Cycle)?

Then the only question is what make model tires...

I think the question of do you need new tires..has been answered.
