PSA. BARFers beware of this bike.

The guy that I share my shop with is heading down to San Jose to trade this R6 for a fishing boat. When he got this bike it was a complete wreck (the only plastic on it that wasnt destroyed was front fender) and should hold a salvage title but was never reported. It has been wrecked multiple times. The sub frame is welded very poorly and is cracking in a new spot. It eats batteries. He also complained about strange transmission noises and shifts. The only reason why it looks half way decent is because he slapped on one of those Chinese fairing kits off of eBay. The guy who is getting it has not been able to sell his boat so he is trading for the bike because he thinks it will be easier to sell. If this bike shows up on Craigslist you have been warned. I got some quick pics including the plate number.

If you can't fix it properly economically, then part the damn thing out. How much more money is the seller going to see from selling it after "fixing" it like that vs parting it out. Is that money worth somebody's freaking life :mad.

Good on ya OP for the PSA.

He just now left. Such a penny pincher he is going across the Richmond bridge on the way there and through SF on the way back so he won't have to pay the toll.

That $6 to get across the GG bridge is a real killer!:rolleyes He will probably use more $$$ in gas going through the east bay since he is driving a mid 90's chevy 1 ton dually w/ 454 gas engine.:laughing

Question, why did you share a shop with this guy in the first place? If he's this shady, I wouldn't of trusted him to have access of my stuff (in the shop). Just wondering.

You never know. Lots of folks are weird like that. Won't *actually* steal anything but will pull a stunt like this on some poor uninformed buyer. I'm a contractor see it all the time....

Biggest mistake ever. At the time it seemed like a good idea to share rent/utilities. Now I'm just waiting for his bs to catch up with him to a point where he loses his ass and has to leave.

All scraped and oxidized. Hacked wires everywhere. Partially disassembled drive on one of the motors. Good luck out on the open seas.
