I never noticed the 25mph posted speed limit sign just as you're leaving Loma Mar until yesterday. My GoPro helped me dissect my transgression and makes me wonder "can my camera be used as evidence against me?"

Westbound Pescadero Crk. Rd just past the tiny enclave known as Loma Mar a temporary radar sign caught me red handed 50mph in a 25mph. :rolleyes

I typically tone it down through there in deference to the locals :gsxrgrl. Anyways, I immediately slowed to a crawl and surveyed for a law enforcement. None were present. Whew! I rode for a bit with my tail between my legs reflecting on my infraction....then soon returned to my senses :later

speedo confirmation check, I have to search out one of these to see how far off the new bike speedo is.

It was accurate with my speedo. Caught me out never having seen speed radar in the hills. Coming around that corner to flashing reds would have been a bummer. Way too easy to go faster than 25 through there especially after passing through town.

I've been pulled over for an earful from the sheriff up there. As you can imagine, the locals DESPISE motorcycles and car clubs tearing through there. I always make an effort to chill when I am passing the driveways and houses.

Those sneaky snakes... placing a"you are going to fast" sign out there just to scare you.
Justified in those in town areas that are just a little to close to well... town.:ride

I can't recall ever seeing an LEO on Pescadero Road.

The locals may despise motorcyclists, but most of them seem to be incapable of staying in their own lane or have their face buried in their iPhones, like everyone else.

Even so, I generally slow down through Loma Mar, just to be polite of course.

There are LEO that go through there but usually aren't parked. It definitely makes me skip a few beats when I see one going the opposite direction. So far they haven't done a u-turn on me yet. :teeth

I think there's a wide range of people who live in Loma Mar. I know an enthusiast who lives there. Some others are smart and get out of the way since they're in the know. Some others don't do any of that because, of course, they're self-righteous jerks.
