It's still dirt cheep right now. You have nothing to complain about. a few years ago it was flirting with $5 a gallon. Hell, bottled water cost more.

I'm still shocked by the spike in truck/SUV sales after the recent drop in fuel prices. How short are peoples' memories? :wtf

Switching over to the summer blend perhaps. When prices get too low, the oil companies always find a way to bring prices back up. Still better than paying $4 a gallon not just a few years ago.

Hope y'all didn't run out and buy brand new V8's.

I have no problem with high fuel prices. I feel like high fuel prices provide added incentive for manufacturers to make more efficient vehicles, whether they're gasoline, hybrid, or electric. One would think that high prices would also cause some people to be more efficient with their driving habits, reducing average number of miles driven. Sadly, the data do not support this assumption.

I never even look at gas prices. Not cause I'm rich or some shit, but even when gas was $4+ it cost me no more than $16 to fill up, and that is a week's worth of gas.

I don't even pay attention to prices. I don't drive much and only pay for usually two tanks a month in my truck. I get to use my work CC to fill up twice a month.

Besides, I have to drive and I need to buy gas. Bitching about it solves nothing.

It went from $1.99 to $2.49 in 3 weeks. Filled up my wife's vehicle 2 1/2 weeks ago for $44. Still 1/4+ tank left. Oil companies are organized crime. Winter blend, summer blend, pure bullshit.

At one point, I put $20 in my bike to fill it (100 miles, a 250 Ninja it ain't). Now it holds about $12.

Disagree.

Sadly, the data do not support this assumption.

just this week $2.38.9 last week it was only $2.03.9 a gallon.
i do two to three fill ups a week. (avg about 25 gallons each).

just hurts me big time right now as i am on "light duty" and it is only 40 hrs in five days. full duty is 50-55 hrs in four days. so no time and a half.

so i lose income and have a larger commute cost. (five days not four).

bad timeing.

Rationalization. Those Texas oil men have been busy buying up other industries with their huge profits and using their collusion to run up prices.

Greed will always lead to bad things.
