Why would some take a perfectly good AR lower and make it bolt actuated that is an abomination in the eyes of God............:teeth

Ahhhh precision the buzzword for money pit. :sniper

I like the rifle you need to show us the 1000yd target pics I wnat to see some 1K yd MOA precision.

I haven't heard of the 6.5 PRC is it more of a long-range shooting kind of round?

Yes the PRC (Precision Rifle Cartridge) line comes in 2 flavors 6.5 and 300.

Though I did contemplate the 300 PRc, I decided to go with a short action Magnum. Plus it has more potential to stretch out beyond 1500 yards.

You have anywhere you can stretch out and play with that round?

I was looking into some long range options, but locations to shoot them aren't many here in CA from what I've heard. With the cost of the rifle, glass and rounds, I couldn't justify the purchase.

Think I'll likely end up with a budgetish rifle in 308 and have some fun with it out in the Nevada desert on some off-roading/camping trips.

Regardless, that looks like a bitchin' set up.

Are you using factory ammo or handloading for it? I’ve shot a buddies GAP 4s and was very impressed.

I built a 6.5 PRC for a customer that shot a 3 shot group that was covered by a dime. Its a very accurate cartridge.
