I'm using a digital Takegawa unit myself, but for the tach, you gotta go analog!

'Sup everybody! This little critter will hit 12.5K RPM under a full load (freeway speed). Not bad for a four stroke (when you consider the power to weight ratio of roughly 2.64 lbs per 1 cc).

Incidently, this is SEESM (up above, center in the photo, fastest guy through any whoops on 10" wheels I've ever seen!) racing at Lake Elsinore one night in '02. If I remember correctly, we raced against Jeremy McGrath, Jeff Emig, and a host of other big names that night. And, yes, I got the panels blown off me that night - got lapped by MC in a five lap race!

My old Fast50s XR, pre-4-speed manual conversion, now parted out and living amongst the mini's of the world.

All love no fight....
That is crazy Liam I forgot about that pic... Yeah #18 Johnner Faulkner and Fast50s factory race #3 Chris Raceles... Ahhh yes good times.. Yeah I had the backpack with the helmet cam on that night if you look close... Sweet stuff.. That was the 50 Nutz 1st race... I had one great moto I beat Emig in one race and crashed my brains out with Billy Laninovich and Raceles in the other... I remember Raceles crashed hard in the final and his wife was crying like a baby... I was like "Baby don't bug.. just dig Chrissy gonna be ok in a few days... emm or wks.. His head's all banged up." :)

She did not think that was cool I think he never raced again after that in fact We still have his Factory bike sitting waiting for him... :)

And WTF Liam you always say stuff like you got lapped... I do not remember that at all.

But I do know anytime anywhere if I have to ride with anyone on a mini I would pick you in my top 5 for sure... I can see a 50 ride around Europe soon if we do not see you back in the states riding minis soon. We wish you came to visit more and miss you lots...

Oh yeah Liboy... Thanks for the kind words on the whoops bit... I have about 30 minutes of fame 1 time per year... What sucks is it comes in 5 second increments... Never can I tie the whole 30 minutes in... :) -cM

p.s. Btw remember the fast50s compound? So much better riding now... More tracks more fun etc... Also we have a few neighbors with tracks too now.. Out of 15 homes... like 6-8 ride... Crazy cool...

I am going to try to make it out to Willow Streets in August. This is really a build for the wife. Mine is pretty much done except for catch tanks. I have three of these things and they were all basket cases when I bought each of them so its been alot of time and $$$ to get them ready.

bike 69 what bike is that? Is more kid size or adult size? I ask cuz my kids just now let me know they want to road race and they are dying for me to get em set up with two road racers... Ohh joy... :) Those things looks sick btw... You did a nice job with em...

2001 Aprilia RS50 the black one is a 2000 model. Made in Italy. Really fun bikes that are full size water cooled,17" wheeled,6 speed/clutch 2 stroke 50cc bikes. Stock motor can take about 85cc befor you need to change out the crank. Real easy to work on and you can still find plenty of them for sale at a decent price. BUT parts are getting a little harder to find in the USA. AF1 Racing is a good site but most parts I order from Ebay-UK.

The RS50 is for larger frames. Similar to a Honda RS or Yamaha TZ (physical size).
