Post Your Favorite Desktop Icon

So, I'm having a discussion with our engineers about the importance of product branding and we are discussing desktop icons. Some are flexing their creative muscle and do not seem to understand the concept...rather, it's all about what looks cool!

This is my all time favorite one (not related to work, unfortunately) for an engineer's software that interfaces and collects data from GPS Disciplined Oscillators (GPSDO). :laughing

BTW, a GPSDO can be regarded as a high accuracy clock that is synchronized to the global standard for time and phase. These oscillators can be as accurate as 0.000000000001 seconds or better.

(mods, feel free to move this to the geek forum...)

Once I learned that it was a million times faster to search for the app I want to launch instead of hunting for the icon, I stopped clicking on desktop icons pretty much overnight.

Desktop is just a folder for projects and files that are more important than living in the downloads folder, but aren't important enough (yet) to to live in a proper folder structure where it can be organized and backed up.

I'm pretty happy with the business cards I just designed, so that, I guess?

Well, I guess I did title it as desktop icons, but really they can be anywhere, like in your browser tabs or address bar :twofinger or in your file explorer, and even on your phone...

I cannot see putting work files on my desktop since I have literally hundreds of project folders open at any time. My common programs are pinned to the task bar and span more than the 27 inch monitor can accommodate.
