When we anchor out he has his morning routine. He jumps in the tender and barks. We have a long line attached and push it or row it out to the shore. When he's finished what he needs to do he jumps back in and barks. We pull the tender back to the boat.

I dread each passing year, as I see him slowing down, the grey showing on his muzzle and knowing he is aging a lot faster than we are.

Never forget the amazing life you have provided for him, and all the love he will have from you in his final years. I'm sure he will be with you for some time to come.

Beautiful pup. A well lived life is a good life, and I see a happy dog. While we may struggle with those changes, I am sure they have no such worries, just appreciation:thumbup

It's not my fault...
This little guy is named Lucky- as in "Lucky to be alive". He was born extremely prematurely and the vets and everything we read online said that pups born that early simply don't survive. He did, though- only two of the litter of nine made it.

Cute pup

This was Desmo 2 weeks ago. We took him all over the north bay up to Yountville where he got some of Thomas Keller's fried chicken, then west to Petaluma to see his mom and dad.
