Yep, Tardigrade's cuteness is inversely proportional to their size. And they are not particularly cute to begin with, when viewed microscopically.

Yeah, given the current conditions on the Moon, Radiation will kill anything left up there for too long. You would need to create a shielded biodome for anything to live up there.

The article was a bit misleading in that it implies those things can procreate while in that dehydrated state...I don't believe they can.

Regardless, who's to say they weren't there already, and on other bodies in space? They may even add to the theory that life on our planet was seeded from another celestial body. Add-water organisms are tough-ass beasts.

The water bear, as it is also known, can even withstand 1,000 times more radiation than other creatures and survive in the vacuum of space, itself. In 2007, for instance, tardigrades were taken into low Earth orbit and after 10 days most of the tiny creatures were able to survive exposure to the vacuum of space and cosmic rays, with some tardigrades even withstanding lethal levels of UV radiation.
