This is a topic that has been getting a lot of attention lately from the media. Have you seen some of these models? They look good to me, they're babes!

I realize it's not one size fits all. I just can't imagine there is that many men that go for the sickly, anorexic look. They look like they would break.

What is wrong with the modeling/fashion industry? Are women finally going to promote solidarity and stand up for themselves?

Looks are not the only thing that makes a woman interesting.

Calling a woman anorexic because of their build is just as bad as calling a woman fat. Either way you are passing a shit-ton of judgment on someone.

Being very skinny is the one I'd have a hard time getting over. I have a friend who doesn't find any women other than white attractive. Says he can't help it. Strikes me as really odd, but I guess his off-white is my too thin? I dunno. This evening at Costco there was a bigger girl that was smoking hot. Not even like a fetish or anything, she was just super foxy.

IMO...

no. other women can be the first to judge, the first to say "oh did u see that so-and-so put on a couple pounds". I suspect fixing that will take generations, not a few years.

plus-sized models isn't a response to a need for social change. its prob just someone realizing they were losing some market share and this was a way to improve that. capitalism.

+1 to your post being just as bad as calling someone fat.

Some people like skinny, some like fat, some like hairy, some like bald, some like beards, some like Asian, Mexican, Black, w/e.

Way I see it, it's not really a "choice" any more than being gay is a choice. People like who they like and that's that. Sometimes likes change over time, sometimes they don't, I know what does it for me and what doesn't.

What's regarded as 'plus size' in the modelling world is pretty ridiculous. The average woman called plus size is right around average size for the US.

Not sure how many of you watch Project Runway but they had a variety of sized models for a change last season and the “plus” sized models KILLED it. They walked better, wore the clothes better and were sexy AF.

Wow? That's significantly overweight (closer to BMI obese than normal)

Then again, the average man is 5-9 195 :wtf
