Place to practice wheelies

Tried searching, couldn't come up with anything. Anyone know of any good places to practice wheelies? Not oft used streets, parking lots what have you. Preferably somewhere without a lot of stray children or flashing lights... Oh and soft pavement :)

I believe this has been covered often on BARF however, I will spare you further searching,

The first rule of Wheelie Club is: There is no Wheelie Club.
The second rule of Wheelie Club is: THERE IS NO WHEELIE CLUB.
...and so on.

I find I-880 during commute to be the optimal time for wheelie practice. I mean, what's the point of doing a wheelie if nobody sees you, right? :rolleyes

I usually use the Good Sam Hospital parking lot in the evening. Less cars and close to the emergency room just in case. The speed bumps are fun too.

I use the parking lot where all of the little medical offices are. It's normally good for 10-15 minutes before security shows up, though they have been getting there quicker lately.

I am not weird, you are.
A co-worker friend of mine is a stunter, he said he bought a 50 to start practice wheelies on. Get the feel for it w/o costing a lot of money, blood, broken bones, etc...

He can wheelie his ZX10 for a good long way now.

I took him to a trackday, he had fun....

That's it? Keep an eye out for me during this years Super Bowl bro' (which will be featuring the 49ers again BTW). I'll be the guy doing a sick-ass wheelie across the 50-yard line during kickoff.

OP. Wherever you find for practicing wheelies, keep them there no matter how good you get. Stunting doesn't belong on public streets IMO. :thumbup for wanting to do it safely out of the way of everyone.

Near the ER? Brilliant! This is the kind of rational thinking I was looking for! Ha and 880 during commuting hours is totally me I commute south to east bay erday. Also, with regards to Daniels post, I don't like being around people in the first place, ha.

Well I'm not trying to get hit by a car on the streets, or slide off a cliff on some gravel in the twisties. So I truck my stunt bike to the lot or I ride dirt.

highway 9 across the double yellow while passing cars...duh! drivers give you a thumbs up & if you get pulled over, cops are not sure what to ticket you for so you get away with a warning most of the time...
