Pitbull vs. Dalmatian

I want a dog so bad. The wife won't let me have a Staffordshire bull terrier because it looks too much like a pit bull. She wants an Australian Shepherd . They are awesome dogs but I don't want a lot of dog hair all over everything in my house. I wouldn't leave the dog outside ALL the time. I figure just when everyone leaves the house, or the dog would be inside. Once we move I'll be searching the internet for a dog we both like.

Done :laughing

Why thank you Winterfall for that illustrious interpretation. I did not realize that there are that many a$$heads on this forum

Heh, how did that argument go again? Ah, nevermind.

I have a bunch of pictures and video like that. My two girls will make all kinds of noise, snarl, growl, bite at each other. You would never know they were playing until I call them over, and both tails go crazy as they run side-by-side for some attention.

And then Corinne (Pit) goes and instigates Mai're, again, soon after :D

Good choice of dogs! I would see if you can find a rescue or something, though. I'm kinda weary of backyard breeders.

My Dal was bought from a girl who got her as a gift, and couldn't take care of her 'cause she was getting married.

A dog is the worst gift you an give somebody if it's unexpected.

i've been looking, but just can't find them. how old was your dal when you got her?

also, the breeders that i've spoken to seem like they have good knowledge and register their dogs? it would be my first big doggie expense.

most of the family dogs i had growing up were pups from the family's dogs offspring except for one dal that my dad bought for $100 from the Berryessa Flea Market. Daisy, that was her name. So cute. Great markings, but saw a cat across the street and a maintenance guy left the gate open... :cry

my first dog was also a dal, male, though. God I loved that dog. Lucas was his name.

Bobby the very special dalmation, is adored by Hopalong volunteers. He is 7 years old, and loves children and other dogs. This great guy has a great heart and not a mean bone in his body. This sweet boy knows some training and would make a great family dog. Bobby has many spots, but none like the spot in your heart and home. Make this sweetie a part of your family and he will speckle your life with joy!

There are lots of dogs in shelters that could use a good home. Better to find a friendly pup in the shelter that is about to see the euthanasia needle, then to go buy one from a breeder.

My house is home to 4 rescues right now. One I literally picked up off the street (kitty), one from Oakland shelter from a broken up dog fight ring (Corinne, AmStaf), Mai're (Rott mix) was being walked into the euthanasia room at 5 weeks old when my wife tripped over her (literally), and Vader was from a rescue (who we didn't think would see the year 2002...).
