PCP guns

I know Roman has a gun shop so it would be nice if he chimed in. Although he probably doesn't sell any of these as they are not considered firearms.
Do any of you barfers have any experience with pre charged pneumatic guns?
I just picked up a Hatsan AT44-10 tactical weapon in .25 cal. with all the extras, bipod, scope ect. Gonna use it for small to medium sized game. This thing is deadly accurate. Some videos on YouTube show the stopping powers of these. What do the gurus of barf think, any experience?

i was expecting information on the latest way to take drugs. much disappoint.

+1. I'm behind the curve and just recently found out about dabs which have apparently been around for years. The marijuana world has moved on since I left it at the dawn of blunts. I have never seen or known anyone who did PCP, but also thought this was going to be a thread about some new high tech way of ruining your grasp on reality.

If the title had said "air guns" I would have got it probably :)

I have a Walther Hunter that operates at 300 BAR, that's 45,000 psi! I only shoot it at 200 BAR, the 300BAR tanks are a pain.

Here's 5 shots at about 20 yards:

I too was hoping for some sort of wonderful place where you could use dart guns full of PCP on unsuspecting steam shovel Operators.

Holy moly 300bar? I think my gauge only reads 250 but they only recommend 200.
Nice grouping. My dad consistently shoots through the initial hole. Like I said they are deadly accurate. YouTube has good videos of taking down wild pigs with these. If you get the 44, 45, or 50 cal you can take down larger game. Im surprised these are not regulated. Not that I think they should be. I just think its odd that you can purchase such a large caliber deadly weapon with a suppresser attached and someone wanting to purchase a 22 has to wait for a background check. My guess is the more powerful they become the more likely they will be regulated.

Yes they are powerful but they are not used in crimes and need no regulation. Black powder firearms are the same, they are not used by criminals but trust me, you do not want to get shot by any gun. A muzzle loader will kill you just as easy as an AR15.

Being used in crimes has no bearing on legislation...nobody is knocking over liquor stores with 50CAL rifles, but...banned.

No, instead the usual flow is media makes a big deal of nothing.
Lemmings get involved "save the world!!!" "ban this...ban that!!!"
Some politician gets involved to make a name for himself and drafts a law about something he doesn't even come close to understanding and that does nothing to actually make anyone safer...but certainly does add some more red tape for someone just looking to enjoy a hobby of theirs. And in the end another one of our long list of dead freedoms is added to the mix.

Not that I'm bitter about it or anything :laughing

Errrr - 300 bar = ~4500 psi.:afm199 If you're shooting it at 45000 psi, I want to watch (from a LONG ways away).

Oops sorry, senior moment. It's a big number, I can't really wrap my head around 4500 or 45,000 psi. You wouldn't want to be near either one if it let go, I guess that's why they certify tanks.

Most jurisdictions consider airguns to be firearms. Don't discharge one in the city limits.

Not that I know of. In Canada yes, an airgun is a firearm. However a lot of cities have restrictions on airgun use inside the city, same as bow and arrows. Know your local laws.
