Passing on double yellow

This is embarassing, I was on hwy 35 passed 84 junction, following 2 cars. The whole time there I was doing about 50 mph, yeah nice easy ride. Passed the junction I decided to pass them while hunking my horn. I made the pass on a straight-a-way, where I can see no traffic in the opposite direction. What do you know, Sheriff Woody was on my tail. Good thing, I was not speedinng. Do I have a case here? Is my case dismissible?

You have a cop behind you and you don't know it? Dude, you need to pay more attention to your rear views. Don't you check them before passing? What if somebody else was already passing you and you cut in front of them?

Anyway, you will not win this one. You cannot argue that it was safe, therefore ok for you to break the law. Go to traffic school and pay the fine.

I always say it's the inattentive driver who gets the ticket. How easy was this to avoid? Double whammy on you for not checking before pulling out to pass!
