Parking in car spots

I've had similar exchanges in parking lots. I'm never quite prepared to be confronted about parking when I'm parking in a regular ole parking spot in a regular ole lot, so I look like a dork. It's always a weird person hitting me with something from left field, like your situation. My first reaction is to try to be somewhat polite and civil in the face of rando, stupid stuff like that, and so I'm just completely thrown off my game.

Next time ask where the person thinks is appropriate and if not marked would they reimburse the ticket or cost of a tow and impound? If not say thanks but I'm fine here. Bet they keep their traps shut the next time.

I'm typically indifferent to the downfalls of motorists when I'm on my moto or bicycle. Nobody forced you to drive, lady. You're not stuck in traffic guy, you are traffic. All that. I'll just shrug my shoulders with a "sorry" and walk away rather than engage.

However, courteous elders or a mom with young children would prompt me to consider another spot if it was helpful.

Sorta my take but I'm more likely to not say anything at all. I'll just look at them like they spoke a different language. I don't engage nonsense.

When I park I try to make sure other bikes could fit if they want.... make some Moto parking when I can

Never did that. A nice thing in principle, but doing that puts you close to swinging car doors and also puts you at the mercy of idiot motorcyclists. No thanks.

In general, I try to not park in car spots because my bike IS very mobile. If there is bicycle parking, motorcycle parking, or an island at the end of the aisle, I park in those areas. Also, being Asian has no bearing on her attitude or her language abilities.

I have a couple of neighbors who give me the mean-mug because I often leave a bike parked in the spot in front of my house, where my car usually lives.

I haven't gotten a lecture yet. The way I look at it is this:

If this bothers you, please get yourself a motorcycle, and park it in front of your house.
