We rode across the US - 4300 miles and 16 states in ~11 days. I'd do it again in a heart beat....but not any time soon. My ass still hurts.

I captured it all in a nice, neat little blog: http://sanjose-to-newyork.blogspot.com/

Of course, we had to ride Deals Gap. I was underimpressed -- we have better stuff here in CA. But I'm sure the area has better roads...

Awesome! I'm impressed that you took so many pictures! Whenever I do a long trip, I end up with a bunch on the first few days, then peter out to just the odd photo or two by the end. :)

Great stuff!

Awesome! :thumbup

I wish I could get the time off to do a trip like that!:(

I miss Coopster:cry

Brandon, you still make that bike look small!:laughing

Can I be....frank?
Nice trip report, you even visited the Great Smoky Mountains, lots of good riding roads up there. :thumbup

I was kinda let down when you shipped the bike home and hopped on an airplane though. :laughing

Heh, so were we :(

I want to do a similar trip one day, but I may have to visit the Corbin factory first. :p

Seems like it would be perfect to take a month off work and take a bunch of secondary roads to criss-cross the country. But with a trip that long I'd probably end up hating my riding partner. :laughing

Hells yes! I'd also suggest an Airhawk. I thought it'd be unnecessary, but man it really made a difference.

I've got our waypoints from my SPoT saved. I need to get 'em into Goorgle Earth and plot them on a map.

My Corbin, while better than stock, would have been horrible for the trip. AirHawk for the MF-ing win.

We only had two weeks off so a return trip wasn't really an option. We slabbed a lot more than we wanted but made awesome time for non-iron butt award winners. We were staying with people who expected us on a certain day so we kept on moving.

Actually, riding with Tim was easy. We don't talk for 12 hours a day, sleep for 8, and eat for 2. That's like 2 hours of actual time with him each day. It was easy. :laughing
