Other teevee finales, and shows

Since GOT is about to end, it might be time to find some other noteworthy shows, as well as comment on other finales.

We really like The Chi in our house and the storylines are pretty compelling. Not sure if others here are onboard. I just like seeing so many non-famous actors as well as few more well-known ones in the mix.

We saw the Veep finale and it was hilarious as expected. That show reminds of 30 Rock insofar as the gags come out like a machine gun and you are still laughing at the previous joke when the next one comes about. It is a very filthy show for the delicate but pokes some pretty good fun at our current political spheres.

I tried to watch Barry but can't quite get into it. I guess the premise is just too absurd for something that isn't fantasy or whatever. But it seems like the last few episodes have had Stephen Root on it which kind of makes me want to watch. That guy is pretty funny. Hader himself is just a bit goony but he is talented to be sure.

And since this is catchall: If you have been watching NBA action, no doubt you have seen the same commercials for Animal Kingdom and Claws as I when the games are on TNT, and there are plenty more to go as they have the Eastern Conf finals. Lordy, I could not NOT want to watch anything more than those two joints. Geezus. Those commercials are up there with 1800 KarsForKids for obnoxious.

What we do in the shadows. I just wish it wasn't a half hour show.

Haven't seen that one yet but will check it out.

Oh and another comment: Now Apocalpyse. Lord. It's so frickin pronographic that I can't even sit on the channel for more than a minute. The whole show is about humpin in all its different iterations. It reminds me of one of our BARFers gags about assjuice milkshakes. In other words, it makes me cringe and wince. Now, I'm as horny as the next guy wanting to see the boobs-n-stuff, but I can't even watch that thing.

Binged Schitt's Creek recently. It was a little hard to get into at the start, but it gets real good I think.

More so than Gangbang of Thrones? I've watched a couple episodes and I cannot for the life of me give a shit. I seriously do not get how it is so popular other than tits n' shit.

WWDITS the movie was fuggin' hilarious. Watched one episode of the show and it's ok, but doesn't translate as well from the movie.

One episode of Shiddt's Creek or whatever... barely. Yeesh. Bad.

End of the Fucking World was fucking excellent.

big bang theory finally being put out of its misery , jumped the shark way too many times

A discovery of witches started off promising, but turned twilight love story bullshit pretty quick

counterpart season 1 was ok, watched it mainly due to jk simmons' dual roles, talented mofo

Looking forward to the last season of Mr. Robot

They started to shoot it the beginning of the year, expecting it to air towards the end of the year

I've been watching Lucifer on Netflix. Mindless but fun.

Same here (but recorded and watched before Netflix). It looks like Netflix bought the show and made a Season 4.

Other shows on Netflix I love are Lost in Space (can't wait until season 2) and Stranger Things (season 3 coming in about a month).

I also enjoyed Gotham (last episode aired a couple of weeks ago) and Blacklist (still going).

Yeah, I had a dual interest in Counterpart. I was interested in JK's acting too, and also my son lives in Berlin. I believe some of the exterior shots were taken at the University he attends (Humboldt). Just your basic East German block type buildings but in the heart of Berlin.

I had a hard time following the storyline but I think I got it by the end.

I could never stand the Big Bang Theory but diffrent strokes, etc etc . I found Parsons to be super-annoying.

Good sequel to, "Get a life", nice to see Chris Elliott's development as a sitcom actor.
