how do you find links like this? i've been looking for one that covers the Creek Fire in fresno county

I was going to ride up Feather River tomorrow, camp south of Mt Lassen. I've been tracking closely AQI up there using https://gispub.epa.gov/airnow/.

Between that and the incident maps, I'm thinking it's probably not going to be a very good place to be this weekend. Anyone else have any opinions or on-the-ground observations to share on this?

Don't go, too smokey.

32 would probably be better but still smokey. (32 to 36 is the nicer ride than 70 to 89 to 36). Too much traffic, PG&E trucks and logging trucks on 70. 32 past the Butte Meadows exit is a very nice ride.

Good grief.

Mountain House must be ashes, and other historic places. I've been riding the snot out of that road since the re-grading/paving in 1989 or so. A perfect way to get to some of my favorite other roads. LaPorte Road, the tail end of 49.

This is the end of California as I have known it.
