Hello everyone, Geezer here :afm199 and mistakenly thought that BARF was primarily oriented towards crotch rockets, should have checked it out sooner. Anyway, here I am. Been riding since the mid 60's both on and off road with a little racing (mostly enduros) thrown in. Been in the Bay Area since the very late
60's and came here thanks to the USAF and was stationed at the "Blue Cube" in Sunnyvale. Got discharged and decided to stay, weather and motorcycling was too good to pass up. Have owned a lot of motorcycles, mostly European, do all my own work on them and can't imagine life without one. :ride

:newbie

Barf was primarily crotch rockets when it started and matured into all kinds of moto's within a few years. I got a pic of the blue cube going down. I did one job in the building back in the '80s. They did not even tell me what floor it was on. Secret shit!

Hell maybe you blind folded me when I went in. :laughing

Have fun here and many smiles with your miles.

Welcome. The diversity here is amazing. We do have some pretty colorful folks who post frequently in the kitchen sink; that is not really representative of what we have here.

I think going on a rally may be representative.

Butch,
Among my many motorcycles of my past was a Hodaka Ace 90 in the mid
60's, so I know your lust for them. I even have a old dealer sign you may be interested in if you like memorabilia to stuff in your garage...(or living room if you are not married!) Pretty big, about 2' X4', painted on both sides, multi colored.

And was that a _Rupp_ Go Kart in your past. I Had a Rupp, Dart Kart with a MC 8 and then a MC 40 engine on it and raced at the kart track in Lafayette, New York and Cortland, New York in the early 60's. Go Karts were my passion before I got bit by the motorcycle bug.

Welcome to BARF, you will find some old farts mixed in with the young riders. Check out group rides and come out and meet some of the people on Barf. I do a ride to lunch each month, next month we will ride to Hope Valley Cafe. I do the ride on Fridays so we get a lot of :afm199 riders.
Last months ride.

I think i have been married for 35years and the wifey would let me put up the Hodaka sign next to the Russian Rocket Plant poster... she is cool like that. Er, that is why the 35 years happen.

And I had a Rupp Black Widow. Well, not that model, but hey, i like the name. I do currently have a TM Racing Black Dream. Fuck Yeah.

So, yes, i accept.

Ace 90, Ace 100, Super Rat, Combat Wombat, Road Toad, Dirt Squirt...

Did they all have a toaster for a gas tank?
