Over the Labor Day Weekend , my family and I took a road trip to Las Vegas to visit my brother's fam. We really enjoyed checking out Red Rock HD ! Along w all of the stuff you would expect to see from your typical Harley Davidson dealer, Red Rock had so much old school history that you don't see everyday!

Not the best close up image, but who knows what the two cables that run up to the front servo motor (?) are for? I sure don't know!

It was neat seeing Cal Rayborn's factory HD! I personally didn't know too much of his backstory until I researched about this bike and some of his racing career . What a shame on the outcome ... who has fond memories of Cal?

The old leathers and Arai helmet look so dated compared to modern race gear!

It was so cool to see the actual race bikes ( like this Honda NS750 ) and see images of it in action.

This old flat tracker was cool! You don't see little details much like the safety wired # plate or the left lower draft grip on the modern race bikes!

Other than the Las Vegas 115 degree temps, it was great to visit w family as well as taking a history trip down racing pit lane! If you are ever in the LV area, treat yourself to a visit to Red Rock Harley Davidson :thumbup.

Rolls with it...
Very cool! :thumbup

Saw a couple of those bikes actually used "back in the day"... Lawson's first GP racer at a private test at Laguna, Dale Singleton's TZ (I think that's what that tail section is from) with his leathers....

Thanks to this thread I’ve put a Harley Davidson dealership visit to my bucket list! Since I’m too close to my $ to gamble I’ll have to add something like a super car spin at the track.

+1! thanks for the pics/thread ... :thumbup

I waltzed into Red Rock H-D years ago expecting to look at t-shirts and new models on the floor and had my mind blown by all the race bikes ... a must-visit place for sure ... :ride

Debris? Is that a nuclear waste slight on my hasn’t happened yet retirement state?
John I’d suggest a ride but I’m leery of going over the top of the mountains between here and Las Vegas!
I took a shortcut from Barstow to Vegas once and towards the end of the day repeatedly waited until another rider came by before even trying to pick the KLR up.:wtf

Debris state was what I coined it on Barf Hawthorne Rally.

Seemed junk was left in the country all along 70.

Just abandon where you lived and nobody ever cleaned it up cause nobody wanted too. :laughing

Hell somebody owns that shit I would suppose.

I thought that's where the helmet was placed between races. :laughing
