No spark with PCV

Got an 03-06 SV650 w/ PCV. Bike sat a long time after my crash at Thill and realized I should start her up. Long story short, bike won't start with the PCV installed- no spark and the ECU throws codes saying the ignition coils aren't working. Bike starts right up once I remove the PCV.

So far I've:
- Verified that indeed there is no spark
- Verified in the PC software that it's "working", has the right map installed, etc
- No errors are reported by the PCV
- PCV sees the RPM pickup off the stator
- PCV sees the TPS sensor
- Upgraded the firmware from 1.10 to the latest 1.13
- Double & triple checked the connections to the coils
- Removed/disabled the quick shifter

Other then spending $300 to buy a new PCV, any suggestions?

I had this happen on a PCIII.
My bet there is something fishy with the unit.
Can you send it to Dynajet for testing?
Do you have access to another SV to see if it's the PC unit, or the ECU that's giving you grief?

Sell the SV without it. It's useless garage art anyway

Back in the days of PCIII (or something a while ago) I ran across several guys who had those randomly take dumps equally no start. Banging around in a crash seems like a good way to scramble a box full of electrics (although the guys I knew didn't crash theirs).

send it in they should test it for free
this! though i've also seen the wire from the PC hooked to the wrong battery terminal. sometimes its meant to be on the ground, sometimes the positive, check the install instructions.

I sent it in. Hopefully will hear back early next week. One of the other things they mentioned on the phone was battery voltage drop when cranking. Anything under 10.5V and it's a no-go.

The PCV on the SV gets it's power from two locations: the injectors AND the front coil. I know the injectors are switched along with the fuel pump, but not sure why they don't just run off the front injector? My old PC3 only got power from the injector, hence needing that stupid 9V battery to program it.

There is a ground connection, but nothing direct to the battery positive terminal.
