Ninja 250 won't idle and no low throttle response

I bored a friends ninja 250 for a couple of weeks and the thing will not idle below 3k and falls on it's giving it any gas under about 4k. The bike has been sitting but got fired up at least every two weeks. Is it the pilot jet?????????

when I got my ninjette it wouldn't idle below 2500 and stumbled off the line.
I gave it a valve adjsutment and it could idle at 1500 and low end performance improved greatly.

Mixture screw adjustment or a clogged pilot jet from stale gas or both.

Before you spend all weekend on it, throw some SeaFoam in there and run it around a bit.

Can't hurt, might help (if it's just old gas deposits in the pilot jet).

Bike only has 1200 miles on it, I hope it doesn't a valve adjustment.

I haven't had a chance to check it out yet but I think cleaning the pilot jet and mixture screw should be a quick job :confused

they're supposed to get an adjustment at 500 miles

It had it's 500 mile service, they were within specs.
